Gamblers at a Craps Table
If you are wanting thrills, noise and more entertainment than you can endure, then craps is the only game to play.
Craps is a fast-paced game with whales, low-rollers, and everybody in the middle. If you are a people-watcher this is one game that you’ll love to watch. There is the whale, buying in with a huge amount of money and making boisterous announcements when he wagers across the board, "Five Hundred and Twenty across," you’ll hear the whale say. She’s the bettor to observe at this game and they know it. The whale will either win big or lose big-time and there is no in the middle.
There’s the low-roller, most likely attempting to acquaint himself with the whales. He will tell the other gamblers of books he’s read through on dice setting and bum around the most accomplished tosser at the table, prepared to talk and "share ideas and thoughts".
There’s the disciple of Frank Scoblete most recent craps workshop. Even though Frank is the very best there is, his disciple needs to do his homework. This guy will require 5 minutes to set his dice, so practice patience.
My preferred individuals at the table are the true gentlemen from the good old times. These senior guys are usually patient, mostly congenial and will almost always offer pointers from the "great ole days."
When you take the plunge and choose to join the game, make sure you use correct etiquette. Locate a spot on the rail and put your money on the table in front of you in the "come" area. Refrain from doing this when the dice are in motion or you will be referred to as the very last personality I wished to mention, the jerk.
